Blair has rocked the midi skirt for a while, but the trend is just catching on in wider fashion circles. I usually prefer my shorts and skirts to be short (you may have noticed…); however, I just purchased my first midi (the best one on the Web, in my opinion) and I can not wait to wear it to Thanksgiving dinner with my favorite new shoes- the black Valentino Rockstud Heels.

According to my mother, the midi length is a doubty trend. I think that it is only doubty if you purchase the wrong length. Never wear a midi skirt that hits at the widest part of your calf.

The rules:

  1. Always wear the midi with a feminine, strappy shoe.
  2. The more volume, the better.
  3. Error on the side of long; pick a midi that is closer to your ankles than your knees.
