Happy Friday! A few weeks ago I posted a makeup tutorial from my amazing Makeup Artist, Carmen Williamson of EyeStruck Beauty. I received so much positive feedback from you all that I decided to post a second one!
Today, Carmen shares her step-by-step process and the exact products she used on my wedding day (pictured above).
Start to Finish…..Drink water, clean and nourish your face and eyes day and night. Your face is a canvas and you only have one for the rest of your life!
Step 1: Moisturizer
Step 2: Foundation
Foundation- Chanel Perfection LumièreI applied both with my favorite foundation brush by Make Up For Ever, #108.
Step 3: Concealer
I used peach first to conceal a bit of blue hue under Amber’s eyes followed by a touch of beige.
Hydrate, drink water and more water.
Step 4: Eyes
Prime the lid- bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer in Original
Light stroke of a neutral shade to set, I always use MAC Eyeshadow in Brule.
Stila Palette, Wind on entire lid, slight peachy color.Aaah the Eyebrows!
Anastasia Pro Pencil Base 1 above and below brow followed by blending with small concealer brush so it looks like natural highlighting.Mascara
Lashes are my absolute favorite! I have found the BEST ever mascara, by Too Faced, Better Than Sex….yes it’s gooooood!Back to Eyes
I used Make Up For Ever brush #250, wet brush and used Ebony close to the lash line
*I feel I have more control (thickness and denseness) when using a small short liner brush and dry to wet color with lining the eye as opposed to a liquid liner most of the time.
I then used Driftwood (medium brown) and used wet again and did a soft wing.
MAC Shadow in Print was used in the crease and blended up and out a bit on Amber’s eyes.
Highlight under brow and around the tear duct using MAC Mineralize SkinFinish in Global Glow.
Step 5: Contouring and Blush
Very small amount of M-646 by Make Up For Ever powder color under cheek bone and around hairline. I use this color on Amber’s eyes from time to time; great on fair to medium skin tone with colored eyes. Pop!
Amber has that beautiful fair “peaches and cream” skin, so I have to be oh so careful not to overdo contouring.
MAC Melba Blush on the apples of her cheeks.
MAC Mineralize SkinFinish in Global Glow on hairline and top of cheek bones.
Step 6: Lips
Love the lips! I like to use a lip pencil for weddings and events all over the lips. This has real staying power.Voila, she was such a gorgeous bride!
