Lately most of my inspiration has come from Isabel Marant. I wear her tribal jeans like a loyal follower and have been drawn to the simple detail for a while now.

Speaking of Parisians, IRO is one of my favorite French designers (see my other notes about IRO here) and I purchased these tweed IRO shorts at Glassworks Studios in London (they ship all over the world).

As for the details: I found this inexpensive beaded belt at Urban Outfitters and it provides cohesion for this look. I wear my black booties on a daily basis- with shorts, dresses, leather pants- everything. My new Helmut Lang Ankou bag has become a daily accessory as well.

Earlier this week I got to spend some time with Kiernan Shipka (aka Sally Draper of Mad Men).

She. Is. A. Doll.

When asked about her personal style, Kiernan noted Oscar’s kid collection as her new favorite…oh and she is recently into yoga so she loves Lulu Lemon. Me too, Kiernan, me too.

For the past few days I have been working in Amsterdam so I wanted to feature my favorite Dutch (well, actually Mexican) blogger: Andy Torres.

I saw her in these shorts and the leopard-drenched Michael Kors runway show at about the same time and I have been searching for the perfect pair ever since.

Tan legs, over-sized black sunnies and wedges required.

THE [NON] IT BAG

I invest in my bags more than any other category of my wardrobe and I do end up gravitating towards classic it bags. The problem with it bags is that everyone ends up having…it.

My souvenir from London is a new bag by Helmut Lang, the Ankou.

The horse hair tassel sold me. Remember the raccoon tail (dyed in bright colors) charms that were affixed to the Gucci and Louis Vuitton bags last fall? This is the year-round, non-trendy version. I see it as an alternative to my Proenza PS1.

I could see this dress in the window at H&M from a distance and at first I thought it was one of those “green” dresses made out of paper. I told my friend, if that is real, I am buying it.

I did.

It is Crillon Ball worthy.

Today H&M is launching its Conscious Collection in select stores (Northpark Dallas being one of 12).

Green or not, this dress is chic, chic, chic!
