HELLO FROM NEW YORK

I am in the city this week, hosting two incredible parties for my blogger friends. Jack and Lazaro from Proenza Schouler are coming to one! (Check out their interview from last year here)

CURRENTLY OBSESSED: CELINE PHANTOM

Unfortunately, the Celine Phantom is not for sale on line, so I can not direct you to a product page; however, I was in Barneys earlier today…swoon. Last year I invested in the Phantoms first iteration, the little sister of sorts, but this bag has chic boheme written all over it.

See how I wore my Celine (as a blonde) here, here and here; (as a ginger) here.

TECH PORN

Hello, from San Francisco. In the spirit of the city, I want to tell you about my new favorite tech gadget.

One of my friends has this iPhone case and when I saw him holding it I had a melt down; this is seriously the chicest accessory I have ever seen. The case is made of metal and brass and it actually screws together. If Alexander Wang and Kelly Wearstler were to combine forces and create tech accessories, this would be the product.

The price ($175) is a little shocking; however, I would spend that much on a bracelet and I use my phone every day.

IN MY CART: PERSONAL PURCHASES

1. Chevron Drawer Liners: I have seen these all over Pinterest and finally decided to hit “buy.” As with your wardrobe, it is the little things in your home that make the difference and I am excited to give my new organized drawers some personality. I bought a few extra rolls for Christmas presents as well.

2. Chanel Fanny Pack: I am an aggressive and learned consignment store shopper and this week I score a Chanel fanny pack! The best part is that I only paid $230 for it!!! I had good karma built up…

FAT FREE FROSTING

These items have all made it to the top of my Christmas list (family: coordinate accordingly).

I found this jeweled collar at Barneys and ended up spending a fair amount of time at the Erickson Beamon counter. These danglers were also taste-tested:

AGGRESSIVE ACCESSORIZING

Over the weekend I stopped into the Nest for some Christmas shopping and came across these candle boxes that resemble violent weaponry. At $450, they are slightly outside of my candle budget but I feel a D.I.Y. coming on…

WATERCOLOR WORLD

One of my new blogger friends, Chassity, recently purchased this watercolor map for her baby’s nursery. The artist, Jessica, is based in Atlanta and has myriad fashion illustrations as well- all at very reasonable Etsy prices. I am on a cobalt binge and had to get one of the world maps for my home.

IN MY CART

I prefer (and recommend) collecting a wardrobe instead of purchasing it one all at once. With the latter, you tend to make purchases that are unnecessary and you fill your closet with garments that are not particularly wow.

Over the weekend I went shopping at the Need Supply and I left with two wardrobe builders: the Genevieve Big Neck Scarf (shown with this striped sweater) and the Jones Blouse.
