I have stalked each of these items for a while and finally decided to pry the debit card out of my wallet and invest in some new pieces. (I am incredible strategic, so purchases take some thought.)
This is one of the few direct-from-the-runways looks that is realistic for a real girl. The price is not too bad for a runway look (about $500 for both pieces) but both the Marc by Marc Jacobs top and skirt can be worn separately to create other looks.
Wear the top with a white shorts suit and let the peplum hang out. Wear an easy white tee with the skirt for a more casual look.

This year, during NYFW, my friend, Karen, shot the most etherial photo backstage at the Rodarte show: a porcelain model wearing a starry hair clip
I think they say it takes seeing something two-three times before you act on it and Rodarte was the last straw- I invested in a grecian adornment of my own.
I got to hang out with Andy (Style Scrapbook) at the CurrentlyObsessed.me party in NYC earlier this month and she was wearing the most incredible jacket. In my search to track down the jacket, I ran across another great piece that she wore that weekend- her giia neon necklace.

I have not placed my order yet because I am torn between the blue one and Andy’s neon version- what do you think? Both are like a piece of art- maybe I should frame one?
